Dressing oriental cu ayran
INGREDIENTS
· ½ – ¾ cup Greek yogurt (2% fat or whole)
· ½ cup ayran
· 1 crushed garlic clove
· ½ teaspoon mild red chili flakes
· ½ teaspoon sumac
· ½ teaspoon dried, crushed mint
PREPARATION METHOD
1. In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with shanena (or buttermilk/ayran).
2. Add the crushed garlic, mint, sumac, and Aleppo pepper.
3. Stir well until you get a smooth dressing. Taste and adjust the spices to your preference.
4. Refrigerate the dressing for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
